The Knights is a fraternal organization formed in 1882 to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.
The Our Lady of Peace Knights of Columbus Council #17599 is a 501(c)(8) organization. We serve our parish and local, state, national and global charities.
Local charities supported by KofC 17599 include Mac’s Kitchen and the Pregnancy Support Center of Southside Virginia.
State charities supported by KofC 17599 include KOVAR, serving Virginians with intellectual disabilities, and VKCCI, supporting Virginians who are in financial distress and have no other place to turn.
