Happy Fall!
The worship area is ready for fall and the fall banner has been hung. We scaled back a bit this year and found that the saying "Sometimes less is more" is so true. Come join us and see what you think...
Advent planning update:
We have chosen our Advent theme: "Christ Be Our Light." With awesome teamwork, we are ahead of scheule and almost ready for Advent. One final project is to finalize our presentation for the theme. We are reaching out to two of our teens who are talented in art for assistance. We try to encourage our youth to be a part of the liturgies.
It has become a tradition at Our Lady of Peace that we "build" the Advent Wreath as a community. On the first Sunday (Noevember 30 this year) everyone is given a bough of greenery to process up before mass to be placed in the baptismal font around the candle holder. A lay person will lead the blessing of the wreath and light the first candle. Then mass begins.
